Lower School pupils thought of others over the Christmas holidays

Following our wonderful last week of the Christmas term, when we made small handmade gifts for Christmas Charity, the Lower School children were set a challenge.
They were asked to ‘think of others’ over the holiday period. To look outwardly and think of those whose Christmas time maybe a difficult time.
Several children returned to school to share times when they had thought of how to support the elderly, homeless or poorly.

Layla B – raised money for the homeless by thinking carefully about the words we use and having a fine when this doesn’t happen!
“I really enjoyed raising this money, it was a fun and sometimes quite funny thing to do!”

Lecky S – held a cake and book sale in his village and raise £10.00 to help homeless people.
“I was glad to be able to raise money to help the homeless people.”

Ruby K – J and Felicity F –  decided they would have their hair cut to donate to the Little Princess Trust.
“We wanted to do something to help people and thought that as some people don’t have hair, we would give them some of ours.”

The children were awarded special certificates in Assembly.
